Barros Web Design(“we”, “us”, “our”) is a web design and development service operated by Anthony Barros, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through barroswebdesign.ca (the “Site”), why we collect it, and how it is handled. We comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily submit the contact form on this Site. The form collects:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The type of website you are looking for (optional)
  • Your message

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. No personal information is collected passively while you browse the Site.

How we use your information

The information you submit is used solely to:

  • Respond to your inquiry
  • Provide a quote or proposal for the project you described
  • Follow up on ongoing project conversations

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to your inquiry. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own use.

Third-party services

Contact form submissions are delivered to us via Resend(resend.com), a transactional email platform. Resend processes the submitted data solely to route the email to us. Resend’s privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

The Site is hosted on Vercel(vercel.com). Vercel may log standard server access data (IP address, browser type, referring URL) as part of normal infrastructure operation. This data is not accessible to us in identifiable form. Vercel’s privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Data retention

Inquiry emails are retained in our email inbox for as long as they are relevant to an active or potential project engagement, and deleted once the conversation has concluded and no ongoing relationship exists. We do not maintain a separate database of contact form submissions.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you, and to request that it be corrected or deleted. To make such a request, contact us at the email address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
